Are you interested in learning more about Gloucester? Head to one of our many museums, including the Museum of Gloucester, Beatrix Potter's House of the Tailor of Gloucester, or the National Waterways Museum. Fancy doing something a bit more full-on? Gloucester is home to a wide variety of exciting activities, such as go-karting, escape rooms, skiing and snowboarding, and a Ninja Warrior-inspired obstacle course! If you’re in the mood for some retail therapy, Gloucester Quays is the perfect location to take advantage of discounts on some of your favourite brands, while the Gate Streets are full of independent shops for you to discover.  

Being the UK’s most inland port, Gloucester is also lucky enough to boast some stunning waterfront locations. If you’d prefer to keep your feet on land, head to Gloucester Docks to explore the historic buildings, sample a range of delicious foods in one of the many independent eateries, and enjoy the views of the water. If you’re feeling a bit more adventurous, why not go for a tour of the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal with Gloucester Leisure Cruises, try out paddleboarding, or hire a boat to explore the water at your own pace? 

For those who enjoy getting out and about, and stretching their legs, there are plenty of walks that you can do in and around Gloucester. Staying closer to the city centre, why not head to Robinswood Hill Country Park, Barnwood Park and Arboretum, or one of the many other green spaces that can be found tucked away in amongst the hustle and bustle of the city? If you’re able to travel a little bit farther, Gloucester is also excellently placed as a base for exploring the wonderful landscapes of the Cotswolds and the Forest of Dean.
