The city centre is compact and very walkable with iconic attractions such as Gloucester Cathedral and fascinating museums like the Folk of Gloucester and the Museum of Gloucester. Book a group tour with Gloucester Civic Trust and you can discover the real historical characters who put Gloucester on the map and made a huge impact on England’s history.
The historic Gloucester Docks is the most inland port in the country. You will find the captivating Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum which tells the story of one of the most decorated regiments in the British Army. National Waterways Museum Gloucester celebrates the history of the nation’s waterways and the magnificent engineering feats of the Gloucester Sharpness Canal and the city’s Victorian docks. Departing from the museum quay, groups can take a fun and fascinating tour of the canal and docks on board one of the ‘Dunkirk Little Ships’.
Just across Llanthony Bridge, Gloucester Brewery hosts tours that take you through the day in the life of a brewer and you can sample their Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA) award winning beers. If you prefer a tipple of the grape variety, the Three Choirs Vineyards In nearby Newent, offers tours and tastings set in 75 acres of south-facing slopes.
On the outskirts of the Gloucester, groups can experience nature at top class outdoor attractions including the beautiful Painswick Rococo Gardens, The Barn Owl Centre, the International Centre for Birds of Prey.
Coach Facilities
Free coach parking is available for groups at Westgate Street Car Park. These spaces do not require booking, and are operated on a first come, first served basis. Gloucester Quays have their own dedicated coach park for visitors shopping at the outlet centre or attending Gloucester Quays events like the Food Festival or the Christmas Markets.
Westgate Street Car Park
Westgate Street Car Park is well signposted and conveniently located in the city centre, just a short walk from Gloucester Cathedral and the Folk of Gloucester. Coaches do not need to book to use the seven coach bays in this car park and spaces are allocated on a first come first served basis. Toilets for drivers and passengers are available on site at this car park.

Gloucester Quays Coach Parking
Gloucester Quays offer a free meet & greet service to all coaches who book 24 hours in advance. A member of their customer service team will greet the coach on arrival and direct guests to the shops and other locations.
