Run, Walk, Stroll or Jog a 1 or 5 kilometre course:

We're in the city and can't wait to see you in your festive fancy dress. This year the #GlosSantaFunRun is on Saturday 12th December 2026 outside the University of Gloucester City Campus (old Debenhams Store) in Kings Square .

Registration from 9.30am for a 10.30 start. We pushed it back to allow you Park Runners to do both the Park Run and the Fun Run.

Last year we had over 900 runners and you helped raise over £7,500 for local charities; so let's see if we can beat that this year! Lets fill Kings Square with Santas; so spread the word. Remember your entry fee is a donation which goes to support local charities. The suggested donation for entry are:

• Individual over 16: £6
• Child under 16: £4
• Virtual Entry: £6
• Team of 4 any age: £20
• Blue Badge Holders/Wheelchair Users – £FREE
• Medals: £5
• Santa Hat: £2
• Santa suit with Hat: £6
• Santa Snood: £6

The virtual event has been a success and by offering this choice it means that people who for whatever reason would not be able to make the actual day; will still be able to join in.

So, for those that wish to join us in the city, please sign up as normal and for those that wish to do the virtual event, please sign up and send us photos of your run so we can join in the fun.

We still have a few of the Santa Snoods for sale at £6 each if you want one. You can collect them from Cass-Stephen's office in Barnwood or on the day.

Remember you don't automatically get a medal and this year we have special wooden medals (doing our part to save the environment); you need to order one if you want one. The prices are set lower as some of you wish simply to take part for the fun of it and don't require a medal. So, you pay slightly less for taking part and pay extra if you wish to have a medal. That way I don't have to limit the numbers of runners to the numbers of medals I have on order.

Charities need our help more than ever. Basically, they need your help to keep going

So we are here to try and raise some much-needed funds to support our nominated charities, The Rotary Club of Gloucester and the Rotary in Gloucester Community Awards who support a raft of local charities every year.

Can I take part if in a wheelchair or stroller?

Yes. we've designed the event so anyone can take part. In fact if you're registered disabled you can register for free. We would ask for you to start at the back and stick to the left hand side so people can overtake if need be. This is for your safety as well as other peoples.

 

Can I pick my running number up ahead of time?

Yes, you can pick it up from the offices of our main sponsor Cass-Stephens Insurances Ltd whose address is Windsor House, Barnette Way, Barnwood Gloucester GL4 3RT. Please make sure to email Matt on Matt@cass-stephens.co.uk to arrange a suitable time and label your email GlosSantaFunRun.

 

Can I get a refund if I change my mind?

No. We get people cancelling for all sorts of reasons; from genuine cases to people who change their mind because its raining! Your payments is treated as a donation and therefore is non refundable. it goes to the local community which helps us all so why would you want your money back?

 

What time can I register?

Registration opens at 9.30am unless you have picked up your running number already in which case you've already registered.Can I take part if I'm doing a Park Run?Yes. We've moved the start time back to 10.30 to enable you to do the Park Run and the Glos Santa Fun Run as well. It might make sense for you to collect your running number ahead of time to give you more time.

 

How do I find out the route?

How do I order medals or other stock?

There should be a link under the add ons section for the medals and other stock.

Can I take a dog?

Yes you can but we would ask for you to have them on a short lead and in control and to start at the back and stick to the left hand side so people can overtake. We shouldn't have to remind you to bring some poo bags as I'm sure you'd already have those.
