About
In this workshop we will be exploring touch interfaces as a way to make music and overcoming some of the barriers people find when trying to play an instrument.
Join us for a free workshop building playful ways of creating sound and music using a range of high and low tech - anything from 3D printers to craft supplies & recycled materials. Equipment provided, or bring your own laptop.
Open to all, especially those with disabilities and barriers to accessing conventional instruments.
Under 16s should be accompanied by an adult.
Who is this for?
This workshop is for anyone curious about making music in a different way. You don't need any musical experience or technical skills. If you've ever felt that a piano, guitar or drum kit wasn't designed with you in mind, this session is for you. We particularly welcome disabled people, and anyone who has met barriers to playing conventional instruments, whether physical, sensory. Families, carers, support workers and friends are all welcome to join in. Come for the whole day or drop in for an hour.
This event is part of Creative Futures Week. Check out other events you can attend in Gloucestershire.
