About

Number 35 Kingsholm Road is a three story town house in the style of the late Georgian Early Victorian era, it still retains many of the original features.

We are situated just 200 yards from Kingsholm Stadium, home to the mighty Cherry & Whites Gloucester Rugby team and a only ten minute walk from the city centre with its magnificent Cathedral, Glorious Historic Docks and a huge range of attractions to visit. The Cathedral is of course famous in its own right but with the added attraction that scenes from the Harry Potter movies as well as productions such as Wolfhall, Sherlock and Dr. Who plus many more were all filmed on site. The ever popular Gloucester Quays Designer Outlet which has an amazing events calendar including a spectacular Food Festival and an enchanting Victorian Christmas Market is a mere twenty minute walk away.

Accommodation is sited on the Top and middle floor of the house. The top floor of the three storey house can be booked as either a suite of two double rooms with a double bed in one and twin beds in the other as well as a bathroom in the middle. Alternatively, two separate doubles are bookable with a shared bathroom. Both rooms can accommodate a further single bed if required. We also offer a double room on the middle floor with a W/C on the landing but a shared bathroom.

All our rooms are large and bright and we welcome guests with refreshments and goodies to snack on, there are also fresh flowers everywhere always!

A dining and lounge room for guests is on the ground floor in a beautiful east facing large sun filled room that boasts an open fire place in which the fires are always lit during the colder months.

We are ten minute walk from both the train and bus stations. We are also very easily accessible from the M5, A417 and A40. There is parking for 1 car at the back of the house by prior arrangement.

Outside the B&B you can find bus stops for the 71, 97 & 98 Stagecoach services which can take you into the city centre or out to locations such as Cheltenham and Tewkesbury.

We are dog friendly by appointment but guests should be aware that we have a Wienmarna who is now getting old living with us. She is a kind sweet dog who poses no risk to anyone.

The house is not suitable for wheel chair users because of the three flights of stairs.
