This summer, Submergence is lighting up Gloucester once again, and everyone is invited.

Following a hugely successful run last year, award-winning art collective Squidsoup returns with Submergence, a captivating light installation that transforms an empty shop unit on King's Square into a glowing, dreamlike experience; free for all to attend.

Created using hundreds of suspended points of light, this immersive environment surrounds visitors in colour, movement and sound; a place to pause, reflect and feel joy.

At the heart of this year's project is a focus on inclusion, creativity and community. Alongside the installation, Squidsoup is developing a brand-new programme of live performance, created in collaboration with young disabled artists and local families. These creative sessions build confidence, inspire imagination and offer space for expression in a welcoming, supportive setting.
