Siege of Gloucester Civil War Tour

About

Join local guide Jon Eeles for a Siege of Gloucester Civil War Tour starting here at the Museum of Gloucester.

Come along for 10.30 and grab a coffee in the café whilst Jon takes you through the reasons for the siege, why Gloucester chose Parliament over the King and learn more about the forces in and outside our walls. Handle genuine cannon balls and musket balls from the time, along with other items found on the battle sites around our city.

You will then head out for a walk through the city where Jon will take you to the scenes which saw conflict. Jon promises you that you will never walk Gloucester again without thinking about what happened in our streets!

This tour will include up to 90 minutes of walking around the streets of Gloucester, including standing for periods of time. The route will be wheelchair accessible on mostly flat, but cobbled and uneven surfaces. Easy walking and all ages welcome.
