Notley Guest House

About

Ideally located for the City Centre and local business parks, Regency Cheltenham, The Cotswolds, the new Gloucester Quays and Historic Dock, we have a variety of room styles to suit all and a hearty English Breakfast before you depart in the morning.

We are a family run Non Smoking Guest House offering comfortable accommodation for both business and pleasure at an affordable price.

Built over 200 years ago, Notley House was one of several private schools in the Hucclecote area. In 1987 the house was lovingly restored bringing back the original charm with oak beamed ceilings and a homely cottage style appearance but offering all the modern facilities required including free wireless internet connection.

Sara and Simon purchased Notley Guest House in December 1997 having worked in the hotel industry for around 15 years after both leaving catering college as qualified chefs.
Sara specialised in the pastry area while Simon spent the next 3 years or so in the kitchens. Between us we have worked in a variety of London hotels and in 1988 travelled to Australia and worked at The Hyatt on Collins in Melbourne.
After 3 years enjoying the most amazing country and lifestyle we returned to the UK to get married and worked for the next 6 years in Birmingham - Simon at the Hyatt now in a Front Office role and Sara at The Copthorne Hotel.

After 6 years there and with a 2 1/2 year old daughter we had the opportunity to go it on our own and discovered Notley House in need of a bit of TLC and updating and took the plunge! Over the last 21 years we have continually updated and decorated our accommodation keeping comfort, style and affordability as our main priority.

With our children now young adults at 24 & 17 and needing us less and less we continue to enjoy our extended family of returning guests and new ones alike.

We hope we will have the pleasure of welcoming you soon!
