A view of the main basin in Gloucester Docks

About

Enjoy a guided tour of our neighbourhood, Gloucester's Historic Docks! Been on a walking tour in Rome? Or maybe Brussels? It's time to be a tourist in your own city!

With next year being the 200th anniversary of the Docks, it's a fantastic time to reacquaint yourself with the Heritage Harbour that we are so lucky to have here in Gloucester.

The tour will be organised by the fantastic Gloucester Civic Trust, who help to protect our heritage and promote our history here in Gloucester. A guide will take you on a circular tour of Gloucester Docks, covering its history from Roman Times and its importance through time as Britain's most inland port.

The walk will last for approximately 75-90 minutes and will begin and conclude at the Food Dock. Spaces limited.
