About
Come along for a bowl of soup and a show at lunchtime!
Through a professional performance and writing career of nearly 40 years, actor John Bassett has worked in many museums including the Science Museum, Natural History Museum, V&A, Wallace Collection, London Transport Museum and Imperial War Museum.
In this lively, funny performance, John explores what it is like to be a museum actor and tells humorous stories about his personal "friends from the past" including painting with Sir Anthony Van Dyck and Joshua Reynolds, the true genius of Wallace Carothers and Leon Theremin, the connection between HG Wells and Star Trek… and how the last man to walk on the moon blew the doors off a new Science Museum store.
Each £10 ticket includes a bowl of delicious home made soup or equivalent light lunch, and the performance is designed to fit into an hour-long lunch break.
