About
In 1643, the city of Gloucester stood alone and won a decisive victory in the course of British history. Join local historian Jonathan Eeles for an hour-long talk on the Siege of Gloucester, the political situation at that point in the English Civil War, and the ramifications for our city had the King won.
Jon will have real cannon balls, musket balls and other artifacts from the siege available for people to look at and handle. Our historic building will be open to look around and our cafe will be serving delicious home made lunches, cakes and hot and cold drinks.
The talk will take place in the Folk of Gloucester Ed Shed at the back of the building. Tickets are just £5, available on the door or at the link provided.
