Join renowned local historian Tony Conder and Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust's Meyrick Brentnall as they take you on a walk along Alney Island. Explore the archaeology and history of the island and hear about the amazing nature that can be seen along the way.

The meeting point is the Folk of Gloucester Cafe.

Please wear footwear suitable for uneven surfaces and the possibility of mud. There may be grazing cattle on site. The walk covers about 3 miles (4.5k) and will take approximately two hours. This walk is unfortunately not accessible for wheelchairs.

This walk is part of Gloucester Festival of Archaeology - a citywide programme of events and activities running from the 18th July - 2nd August.
