Boaters Craft Group

Join the Boaters' Crafts Group on Saturday 25th April at the National Waterways Museum Gloucester for demonstrations of historic crafts, including rag rugging, stitching and crochet. Chat to the craft group, see their historic costumes and talk to them about joining if you fancy it! You can also buy their craft in the shop and try on the clothes they have made in the dressing up area.
Docks Guided Walks
25 & 26 April, Kathleen & May

As part of the weekend, guided walks of the historic docks are being offered by Gloucester Civic Trust. The walk start at Kathleen & May and are at 11am & 2pm. Book now!

Dry Dock Music
25 & 26 April, T. Nielsen’s Historic Dry Dock

You can have the chance to access the bottom of the dry dock that dates back to the 19th Century! Here boats are hauled from the water, supported on timber blocks, and painstakingly repaired using skills passed down through generations! To add to the wonder of the dry dock, there is also a schedule of music throughout the afternoon!
Kathleen & May Open Day
25 & 26 April, Kathleen & May

You will have the opportunity to explore the historic Kathleen & May, visiting the cargo hold, the deck and the captain’s cabin! There will also be free kids activities!
Let’s Paddle
25 & 26 April, National Waterways Museum

A guided paddle in Gloucester Docks, experience SUP, canoeing and kayaking. Join one of the free taster sessions guided by experienced and qualified volunteers. The sessions are suitable for anyone wanting to try paddling. Book now!

Head down to Llanthony Secunda Priory for their open day. Explore the Grade 1 Listed former Augustinian Priory, founded back in 1136!
There is also a chance for a guided tour. You can learn about the people that shaped Llanthony's history, including Priors and Patrons, the Archbishop of Canterbury, Edward II, King Henry VII and many more!
