About

Join actor, musician and poet Edward Derbyshire to hear some of the most famous stories told in poetic form by John Keats, accompanied by Edward's original keyboard compositions.

Be amazed by the stories of Isabella, or the pot of Basil, The Eve of Saint Agnes, La belle Dame sans Merci and Lamia, all in turn tender, surprising, lovelorn, even shocking. Edward, who is a passionate and experienced storyteller who also performs solo Shakespearean plays, will lead you through a world of poetic magic that raises as many questions as it answers.

This performance is part of a weekend-long showcase of acting and writing talent from Gloucestershire and beyond. Enjoy a varied programme of hour-long plays in our beautiful historic building with cafe and bar.
