The Social Sofa Project - Patchmaking workshop

About

Join us in creating a public art piece celebrating the people of Gloucester and the community, created by local artist LJ Ellam in their new project 'The Social Sofa Project'.

The Social Sofa Project aims to have illustrations, embroidered patches or knitted and crocheted pieces, and to take these onto furniture. This furniture will then be publicly exhibited in specific locations in Gloucester, and on loan to the places that have helped create them, for all to see and use.

This is a relaxed, drop-in session where you are able to print onto fabric and create a fabric collage patch based on your experiences in Gloucester, and your feelings about your community. No experience needed, all materials provided. For ages 5 and up.
