The Last Burma Star film screening

About

A moving documentary from Sky HISTORY following veteran explorer and GWT ambassador, Levison Wood, and historian Alex Bescoby as they seek out the last surviving veterans of the Burma campaign. The film examines the experiences of those soldiers from the region who served alongside British and Commonwealth forces against the Japanese during WW2.

Following the screening, Rob Lyman will lead an engaging discussion reflecting on the experience of the British, Indian and Burmese troops, including the Gurkhas who played a crucial role in reversing the Japanese advance.

All guests are welcome to stay for complimentary drinks and nibbles with the panel, hosted by The Gurkha Welfare Trust.
