A black and white photograph of a Victorian man and woman standing outside a timber framed cottage beside a river

About

Where did the River Severn run in the past? And what was the complex history of the River Twyver, which runs through and under this city? Local historian Tony Conder looks at sources in archaeology and mapping to chart the history and find the course of Gloucester's rivers today.

This talk is part of Gloucester Festival of Archaeology - a citywide programme of events and activities running from the 18th July - 2nd August.

Doors open at 6:30pm for a 7pm start.

Tickets are £10 with all proceeds going towards the preservation of heritage in Gloucester and the continuation of the Gloucester Archaeology Festival.
