Stroud Library - Pride Month Celebration

About

Join us at Stroud Library for an enriching and uplifting Pride Project as part of Gloucestershire Libraries' Pride Month celebrations. This unique event features an acapella singing workshop that promises to bring a wealth of physical, mental, emotional, and social benefits. Singing together not only releases tension and builds community but also boosts confidence and fosters a sense of belonging.

This workshop is designed to be fun, supportive, and suitable for mixed abilities. Singers are encouraged to drop their inhibitions and enjoy the process. The environment is inclusive and non-judgemental, led by a passionate and experienced teacher. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced singer, this workshop is for you. Everyone has something to offer and much to gain from musical expression.

We will record each piece and collect photos of the day (with participant permission). The recordings and photos will be showcased in a touring exhibition across the county.

Join us at Gloucester Library for a nurturing and expressive journaling workshop designed to provide a safe space for LGBTQ+ individuals to explore life and healing through creative prompts. This workshop emphasises the importance of self-expression over artistic ability, allowing participants to reflect, share experiences, and make meaningful connections.

Create a tangible piece of art – be it a poem, collage, stitched paper, or painting – that reflects your journey and experiences.

Engage in various journaling prompts throughout the day, each designed to inspire self-reflection and artistic expression.
