For one evening only, the bartenders of Green Door - having been given the perhaps unnecessary assignment of translating the films of Wes Anderson into mixed drinks - will present four original cocktails inspired by four motion pictures of his particular creation.

Consideration will be given to colour, composition, character, peculiar details, good liquor, and the general principle that a drink ought to look at least as interesting as the person holding it.

The resulting four cocktails will be prepared exclusively for this occasion and, following the conclusion of the evening, may never be served again.

Admission is £10.

This includes the guest's choice of one cocktail from the four specially prepared for the night. Further drinks may, naturally, be acquired.

Green Door is a small speakeasy situated discreetly at the rear of Bella Mia Pizza. Guests should enter through the pizzeria and proceed towards the back of the premises.

Guests are encouraged (though under no contractual obligation) to dress accordingly. This may constitute a recognisable character, an outfit inspired by one of the films, or simply an enthusiastic commitment to colour, tailoring, symmetry and unusual headwear.

A modest prize will be awarded to the best dressed. Appluase discretional.

At some point during the evening, a short Wes Anderson quiz will also be distributed. Participation is entirely optional. It has been included principally to encourage conversation, occupy the intervals between drinks, and determine which table has been paying an unreasonable amount of attention to the works of Wesley Wales Anderson.

The winners will receive a round of drinks. Applause mandatory.

Doors open at 7pm.

Proceedings are expected to conclude at approximately 9pm.

Four films. Four cocktails. One evening.

After which, everything returns to normal.
