About
Gloucester Civic Trust is delighted to announce its line up for Heritage Open Days 2025, the city's largest free festival of history and culture, taking place from Friday 12th to Sunday 14th September 2025.
This year's national theme is Architecture, and Gloucester is set to shine with a vibrant programme of guided walks, talks, tours, live music, and special openings across the city. With over 2,000 years of history to explore – from its Roman origins to its thriving present – visitors will discover Gloucester in new and exciting ways.
All events are free to attend, with no booking required for most activities. Some tours and talks have limited capacity and must be pre-booked via buytickets.at/gloucestercivictrustlimited.
The Gloucester Heritage Open Days Hub at St Mary de Crypt Church will provide refreshments, a friendly meeting point, and the chance to chat with Civic Trust volunteers. Visitors are also encouraged to stop by The Folk of Gloucester and the newly reopened St Michael's Tower at The Cross.
