Dry Dock Music

About

T. Nielsen's Historic Dry Dock - A chance to access the bottom of the dry dock.

Set within the historic docks of Gloucester, these dry docks date back to the early 19th century. Built in 1818 and 1853, they remain in active use, forming a direct link between the industrial past and present-day craftsmanship. Here, boats are still hauled from the water, supported on timber blocks, and painstakingly repaired using skills passed down through generations.

To add to the wonder of the dry dock, there is also a schedule of music throughout the afternoon:

Saturday 25 April:
Jamie Robinson 11.30am-11.50am
Severn Whalers 12pm-12.45pm
Crumble Brothers 1pm-1.45pm

Sunday 26th April:
