Bob Bowles LIVE at Café René

About

'Blues Master' Bob Bowles

With a great sound and feel, gutsy singer/guitarist 'Blues Master' Bob Bowles has performed for over for 30 years at live music events and that sense of assertiveness and confidence really shows!

JAMIE CULLUM says of him "Bob must be the best blues guitarist in the country".
A voice that blends the timbres of Peter Green & Van Morrison plus an edgy guitar style that is drenched with bluesy inflections will have you gripped from the very first bar.

Working solo or with his band, Bob performs a mix of his original songs and classic covers and varies his sets to include covers of Peter Green, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, B.B. King, Canned Heat, Prince and many more. It's blues and soul, gospel and rock.
He throws in some mean slide guitar too!

Bob's guitar playing evokes the blues greats such as Peter Green, Rory Gallagher, Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton.
Like these greats, he celebrates musical tradition and lineage with his own heartfelt songwriting and electrifying shows.

Bob has played and recorded with Jamie Callum, Kev Wilkinson (China Crisis, Waterboys) Chip Bailey (Duke Special) and
He has worked with:
Mick Abrahams and Clive Bunker (Jethro Tull)
Jim Rodford (Kinks)
Jim Levington (Steve Marriott band)
Graham Walker (Gary Moore)
Leo Green (Van Morrison)
Dick Heckstall- Smith ( John Mayall, Coliseum)
Ben Waters band, Alex Clarke to name a few.
