Halloween Celebrations at the Museum of Gloucester

14 - 31 October

There is a range of Halloween events and activities at the Museum of Gloucester this month!

Bring the family and help Tessy Tumblepot, the museum's most muddled witch, brew her magical potion! She's lost all her spooky ingredients somewhere in the museum and needs clever young explorers to help track them down. Or take part in one of the Brick or Treat Halloween Lego Sessions! You can even step into the world of Welsh myth with the tale of Ceridwen, a wise and powerful witch whose bubbling cauldron was said to hold the secrets of knowledge and inspiration.

If you want something spookier, you take a Ghost Tour of the Museum. There is also one for families!

Poppy Fields by Luxmuralis

17 - 25 October

This autumn, Poppy Fields will transform the beautiful setting of Gloucester Cathedral into a captivating display of light and sound. This immersive installation marks the much-anticipated return of Luxmuralis to the Cathedral, following the sell-out success of Light Eternal in 2023 and reflects on the sacrifices of the First and Second World Wars, offering a message of peace and hope for the future.

Apple Day

18 October

Apple Day returns to The Folk of Gloucester! Join them for their free annual celebration of Gloucestershire's orchards and cider industry! Working alongside the Gloucestershire Orchard Trust, they invite you to a day of music and dance that pays homage to the amazing variety of apples in Gloucestershire.
