The Gloucester History Festival travels back in time from 5 to 20 September this autumn with two packed weeks of talks, parades, performances and family events across 30 venues all over the city, with medieval Blackfriars Priory at its heart.

Join Britain's top speakers including Tony Robinson, Natalie Haynes, Michael Wood, Dan Jones, David Olusoga, Janina Ramirez, Prue Leith, Lucy Worsley and many more in the ancient heart of Roman Gloucester.

With 150 events, 100 leading historians and 30 free activities for all ages in the Blackfriars Scriptorium, Britain's oldest surviving medieval library, there's history everywhere you turn.
