As the weather gets colder, we start searching for the best comfort foods. There are some fantastic options in Gloucester so we have compiled this list of the some of the best food and drink, and where to get them this Autumn


Hooker & Eight

Hooker & Eight is an independent pizzeria on Westgate Street. They bring a taste of Italy to the City, and mix it with a love of Gloucester Rugby. They also offer a great selection of premium continental beers, local ales, ciders and soft drinks.


Roast Dinner

Continuing our list with a classic option, there are many places to get a roast dinner here in Gloucester. You can choose from a range of inns and pubs to get Sunday lunches with your family such as The Fountain Inn, The Thatch Inn, Cafe Rene, and The Queens Head!


Classic Pub Food

Gloucester has an excellent selection of pubs to choose from. These include some great historial pubs such as Robert Raikes House and The New Inn ,which is known for holding the anouncement of Lady Jane Grey's successsion to the English Throne following the death of Edward VI, and some more modern options such as The Tall Ship and Dr Fosters.


Burgers

If you want to try something a bit different, then Gloucester is certainly the place to be, with foodie destinations such as Sowl Fuud, serving delicious Vegan food in the City Centre, or why not try Brewhouse and Kitchen located in the docks, where they serve a fine selection of dishes, such as their Brewers Burger.


Coffee and Cake

If you want something lighter, Gloucester has some great café's to choose from. This includes Café Coretto, and Clementines. If you want something with a nice view, have a look at The Monk's Kitchen at Gloucester Cathedral or Robinswood Hill Café.
