About
Threads 2026 - The Fabric of Gloucester
19-21 June
Llanthony Secunda Priory
This June, you're invited to reflect on the strength and resilience of those who have made Gloucester their home, and to celebrate the rich, intricate tapestry our city becomes when every thread counts.
Voices Gloucester's Threads programme, led by the brilliant local textile artist, Jo Teague, is embracing the message of courage and belonging of Refugee Week, with an exhibition in the historic setting of Llanthony Secunda Priory. There will also be a community picnic on the lawn.
The exhibition, free to all, brings together the city's stitchers for 'Fabric of Gloucester. This is a powerful act of creative unity, weaving stories of belonging into something we can all gather around – and in. Because the truest communities are not built from sameness, but from the willingness to sit side by side, needle in hand, and make something that none of us could have created alone.
