About

The International Centre for Birds of Prey is the oldest dedicated birds of prey centre in the world.

Set in 12 acres of amazing grounds and often described as a Hidden Gem, the Centre houses over 250 birds of prey; eagles, owls, vultures, kites, buzzards and falcons.

There are three exciting flying demonstrations per day with different birds flown at each one, from our extensive flying team.

There are lots of great photo opportunities of static birds and if you are ambitious – flight shots as well.

For kids there are two adventure play areas and an owl maze. We also have other activities that range from Easter egg hunts to finding out information about the birds.

You can eat and drink at the café either indoors or outdoor seating areas, or bring a picnic and enjoy the grounds.

In the early part of the year you will often see birds either sitting on their eggs or with chicks. Feeding of the chicks in the Brooder room happens once a day just after the second flying demonstration.

Summer time – the highest numbers of birds are flown daily as we start to introduce some of the new owls and falcons to the flying teams.

In Autumn, as the day grow shorter winter Owl evenings are where you can see the Owls being flown in the dark are a huge favourite with everyone.
