The Gloucester Civic Trust are able to run various tours around Gloucester City Centre. Their City Discover Tour runs daily (excluding Sundays), between April and September.

Discover 2000 years of fascinating history during a 90 minute stroll with an expert Civic Trust Guide. Visit a Medieval Galleried Inn, a hidden Tudor Merchant’s House and a Dominican Priory, and discover where Parliament was held. Hear the stories of John Prichard, the real “Tailor of Gloucester”, immortalised by Beatrix Potter; Robert Raikes, founder of the Sunday School Movement; George Whitfield, founder of the Methodist movement; Bishop Hooper, burned at the stake, and many more.

The walk lasts approximately 1 hour 30 minutes
Meet outside St Michaels Tower
This is a gentle walk with no steep sections
The walk is easilly accessible and suitable for the less mobile and use of wheelchairs
Public convenience available in the Tower and at various points along the route

The Civic Trust also run other tours that can be booked privately as they do not have a standardised schedule. Like the Discovery Tour, they are on foot and based in the town centre. These tours include:
