About

The Barn Owl Centre's mission is the advancement of conservation of the Barn Owl & other species of Owl through environmental projects, research, studies & other such activities that will help to enhance public education on the ecology & preservation of Owls.

Bird of Prey Experiences:

Our interactive, hands-on Bird of Prey Experiences have been operating successfully by booking since 1997. When operating our experiences, the centre is closed to the public, this enables our bird team to dedicate their time and their experience to all guests and of course the birds they will be working with & flying.

During all experiences we work closely with all guests, who can be of all ages (minimum ages: 4 years on Owl Flying experiences and 10 years on Hawk and Owl experiences) to provide that memorable Bird of Prey Experience.

Photography Days:

The Barn Owl Centre is a great venue to photograph Owls & Birds of Prey in natural environments.
As a Conservation Charity we have been running photography days for a number of years, this helps to bring people with cameras closer to some of our amazing birds.

In addition this also helps to raise important funds to support the charities work. As a charity it is very pleasing for us to see that we are attracting a great level of interest from many wildlife photographers from around the UK & from as far a field as Europe. If you are a novice, semi pro or a professional we can provide you with a great day & experience.
Each photography session we operate we do our best to tailor the day to accommodate all levels of skills; this can be for the beginner, right up to the professional. What is also pleasing for some is that the funds generated help support the work of an active charity that supports these birds in the wild.

Staff at the Barn Owl Centre are happy to provide these personal experiences and as part of this try to make the centre as accessible as possible. Specific level parking is availible for ease of access into the building and each experience can be taliored to meet accesibility requirements. Please contact the Barn Owl Centre for more details.
