Tourism and Destination Digital Marketing Officer
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Tourism and Destination team at Gloucester City Council. The role will help position the city of Gloucester as a world class visitor destination by maximising the effectiveness of the Visit Gloucester digital offerings, including its websites, social media channels, email marketing, digital advertising, imagery and video content. You will help to deliver the tourism marketing strategy, supporting destination partners and businesses by curating content and presenting it, in an engaging, timely and compelling way, consistent with the brand narrative of the City.
You will help craft and implement integrated online, mobile and digital marketing strategies for the Visit Gloucester website and social media channels. You will also have a thorough understanding of SEO and experience of using a CMS. You will be able to create exemplary engaging copy for a range of audiences. To be considered we'll need you to have a proven track record of delivering successful digital marketing activity, with a clear understanding of how to develop and improve on our digital marketing channels.
The role is part of the Tourism and Destination Marketing Team which sits within Gloucester City Council's Culture Team. Currently the Team are working partly remotely and will be for the foreseeable future. Ideally when things return to normal we would like the successful candidate to be available to attend meetings with our partners in the City.

Tourism and Destination Senior Marketing Officer
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Tourism and Destination team at Gloucester City Council. The role will help position the city of Gloucester as a world class visitor destination by maximising the visibility of the city through developing and delivering marketing campaigns. You will be crucial in assisting with the creation and delivery of the Tourism and Destination Marketing Plan.You will develop and support partnerships across Gloucester and beyond with relevant organisations (e.g. Visit Britain and other Destination Marketing Organisations) to create and execute creative marketing campaigns across the city.
You will help co-ordinate all destination advertising and marketing campaigns; identify new campaigns for key target markets and ensure the promotion and delivery of a professional service. To be considered we'll need you to have a proven track record of delivering successful marketing campaigns. Possess knowledge of a wide range of tourism marketing techniques and concepts. Project management skills are essential, and the ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously and to a high standard.
