Longborough Festival Opera

About

Longborough Festival Opera is one of the UK's finest country opera houses: an intimate 500-seat theatre set amidst the glorious rolling hills of the Cotswolds.

Each performance is created especially for the Festival: talented designers, directors, conductors and the best up-and-coming artists coming together to bring you something you won't have seen anywhere else.

Located in the grounds of founders Martin and Lizzie Graham’s home, a visit to Longborough ensures a unique experience which truly captures the drama and emotion happening on stage.

This summer, take in the picturesque views, bring a picnic and enjoy spectacular opera at Longborough.

Die Walkure - Siegmund and Sieglinde find themselves drawn together during a storm. Unbeknown to them their father is Wotan, chief of the gods, who through Siegmund hopes to retrieve a ring of ultimate power

Così fan tutte -

The Return of Ulysses - Penelope is besieged by nefarious suitors, keen to declare Ulysses dead and seize power over Ithaka. Ulysses finally arrives home, in disguise – and Penelope promises to accept the man who can string Ulysses’ great bow.

The Cunning Little Vixen - A vixen cub strays across a forester’s path, and is captured and taken to his home. She makes her escape, and begins her adventures in the wild.
