About
Gloucester Day commemorates the lifting of the Siege of Gloucester in 1643 with a day full of frivolity, parades, music, street stalls, entertainment and a Mock Mayor making ceremony with Town Crier Alan Myatt.
Celebrating the rich heritage of our historic city, it's a day completely unique to Gloucester. Expect colourful regalia, decorations, national costumes, banners and flags to feature at the Gloucester Day Parade.
Kings Square is the venue for a day of culture, programmed by Manny Masih, BBC Radio Presenter, the line up includes Indian Telugu Community Dancing, the Ukrainian Choir, the Ukulele Band and much more.
New this year is the premiere of a comic drama about the Siege of Gloucester featuring real characters associated with the Folk of Gloucester.
