Cold Case Archaeology

About

In 1983 a salvage excavation took place at what is now the Gambier Parry Gardens housing estate, immediately to the north of the presumed Kingsholm 'vexillation' fortress. The results were never published. Recently a survey of the surviving excavation's records has shown that the site shed important light on the development at the military base.
