Guide Prices

To manage numbers, admission is by timed entry only and visitors must book a slot in advance. Please get your ticket early to avoid disappointment. A maximum of 6 tickets per individual applies.

Ticket time slots:
Each time slot is an hour long, and the start time you select is the time you can join the queue. If you join the queue within 15 minutes of your start time, we guarantee that you will spend at least 30 minutes inside the Cathedral to experience Gaia.

Day Tickets: There is no charge for tickets to see Gaia during the day, but we do ask that you make a donation upon entry.

The following ticketed time slots will be available:

Monday-Saturday: 10am, 11am, 12noon, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm

Sunday: 12noon, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm


Evening Tickets: Evening tickets are £5.00 per person (there is no charge for under 3’s but they must still have a ticket to enter).

On every Thursday and Friday, the following ticketed time slots will also be available: 7pm, 8pm, 9pm

Road Directions

From the North: Get off the M5 at Junction 11, at the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A40 (signposted Gloucester/Cirencester). At Elmbridge Court roundabout take the 4th exit (signposted Ross). At the next roundabout take the first exit onto the A38 and then at the next roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A417 (St. Oswald's Road). At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A417. Keep left around Westgate Island and take the first left into Westgate Street. For the closest car park take the first left into the car park. Walk out of the car park and turn left, walk up Westgate Street. After a short walk, turn left in to College Street and into the Cathedral Grounds.

 

From the South: Get off the M5 at Junction 12, at the roundabout take the first exit onto the B4008. At the Cross Keys roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A38. At the next roundabout continue forward. At the traffic lights continue forward (stay in the left hand lane, signposted Ross) onto the A430, Secunda Way. Continue forward on this by pass until you come to a roundabout, stay in the left hand lane and take the 2nd exit (on to Hempstead Lane). Follow the road until you arrive at a T Junction. At the T Junction turn right. Keep in the right hand lane and take the exit at the roundabout. Immediately take the exit left into Westgate Street. Take the 1st left into the car park. This is the closest car park to the Cathedral. Walk out of the car park and turn left, walk up Westgate Street. After a short walk, just after the begining of the pedestrianised are turn left in to College Street and in to the Cathedral grounds.

Public Transport Directions

Short stroll from the Gloucester Transport Hub and Railway Station. From the Train Station, cross Bruton Way and walk into the Gloucester Transport Hub. Walk through the Gloucester Transport Hub and out on to Station Road. Continue forward into Clarence Street, at the end turn right into Eastgate Street. At the pedestrianised cross road continue forward into Westgate Street. After a short walk, turn right down College Court and in to the Cathedral grounds.
